Spectra-Physics has further strengthened their OEM industrial laser product management group with the recent hire of Wolfgang Juchmann. As Product Manager, Juchmann will direct market development of the company’s q-switched and CW Nd:YVO4 lasers targeted primarily for marking, texturing, scribing, stereolithography and FT Raman Spectroscopy. Juchmann has extensive experience with laser micromachining applications and laser spectroscopy, and was most recently employed at Scanlab AG, Munich. He also holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. "Wolfgang’s strong technical background and hands-on knowledge of industrial laser processing technology will be a tremendous benefit to both systems integrators and end users of our products," notes Mark Keirstead, OEM Marketing Manager at Spectra-Physics. "We expect Wolfgang to play a key role in expanding this important segment of our OEM industrial laser business."
