Cambridge Display Technology to Develop LEP Display for NIMA

CAMBRIDGE, UK, Oct. 22 -- Cambridge Display Technology, a researcher and commercial developer of light-emitting polymers (LEPs), was selected recently to develop a prototype handheld LEP display for the National Imagery and Mapping Agency. The prototype handheld tactical device will use a red/near-infrared monochrome LEP display, designated a covert red/infrared viewer, and represents a new class of displays to be used by US armed forces and the intelligence community in its Situational Awareness and Planning Systems.
