SAN JOSE, Calif., April 22 -- Adept Technology Inc., a manufacturer of flexible automation for the fiber optic, telecommunications and semiconductor industries, announced it has signed Modular Automation, an assembly automation company based in the UK, as a Preferred Photonics Partner. Modular Automation will develop photonics manufacturing solutions based on Adept automation products, focusing on fiber preparation and handling applications. The agreement is intended to give Adept customers customized turnkey solutions based on Adept's NanoBonder, NanoStage and NanoCell photonics automation tools.
