MADISON, Wis., Sept. 30 -- Imago Scientific Instruments, a Madison-based manufacturer of analytical equipment, announced it has secured $7 million in financing for the development of its innovative LEAP microscope. Investors include Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Infineon Ventures, Draper Triangle, and Stanford University. Imago's LEAP microscope provides information about the atomic-scale features of materials. "Unlike traditional microscopes that zoom in to see items at the microscopic level, Imago's microscope begins at the atomic-scale and zooms out," the company said.
