GOLETA, Calif., April 14 -- Indigo Systems announced it has acquired the applied technology division of Control Systems Research Inc., of Crestview, Fla. Indigo's new division, Indigo Advanced Systems (IAS), is located in Crestview. The transaction took place in March.
Control Systems Research Inc. provides engineering support in the areas of GPS technologies, radiometric measurements, navigation, 3-D visualization, software development, analysis, test and evaluation, modeling and simulation, requirements development, educational research and estimation and control.
One of the products that was transferred to Indigo in the acquisition is RTools, which helps researchers take radiometric measurements of dynamic phenomenon in rapidly changing environments. Prior to that, the RTools software toolkit had been used for several years by various military ranges on Indigo Systems' infrared (IR) cameras.
