Capsule Endoscopy Useful for Crohn's Disease Diagnosis

ORLANDO, Fla., May 21 -- Given Imaging announced today that data from six studies support the use of capsule endoscopy for the diagnosis and evaluation of Crohn's disease. The findings were presented at Digestive Disease Week 2003, being held this week in Orlando. Crohn's disease is an inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract that occurs predominately in the small intestine.
