DRS to Make Weapons-Test Cameras

PARSIPPANY, N.J. July 25 -- DRS Technologies Inc. has been awarded a new contract to produce high-speed digital cameras to support ground-based weapons testing. The contract, valued at approximately $2.7 million, is from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland. DRS will develop a prototype for a universal-range camera body that will allow for common interfaces, electronics and data formats to be used for multiple sensor types.
