The companies said the systems, to be used by microarray research facilities, will contribute to the pharmaceutical industry's research efforts in gene expression analysis. . . . Avnet Applied Computing Solutions, a division of Avnet Inc., announced today it has a distribution agreement with Korean display manufacturer LG.Philips LCD, a developer of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display technology, to market its LCDs to computing OEMs and independent software vendors. The companies said they want to expand their presence in the multimedia, medical and point-of-sale industries.
