EEV Ltd. of Chelmsford, UK, plans to halt production of its line of broadcast and medical camera tubes to focus on growing markets. Philips Components of Slatersville, R.I., has announced plans to supply comparable tubes under the name Plumbicon.
Philips and EEV plan to make formal arrangements for Philips to supply its lead oxide tubes and to provide support for existing EEV products in the field.
