Dalsa Wins Contract
to Supply Sensor Chips
Under a five-year contract valued at $20 million, Dalsa Corp. of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, will supply CCD image sensor chips to Tokyo-based Mamiya. The 22 million pixel chips will be used in Mamiya's ZD portable, medium-format, fully integrated digital camera for professional photography. Compared with the 35-mm format, the imaging area on a medium-format camera is larger, providing sharper, higher quality images with more detail.
