Newport Corp. has released its “Newport Oriel Light Resource 2004,” which showcases products offered by the company following its acquisition of Spectra-Physics. The 336-page catalog provides tutorials, reference material and ordering information on a variety of light source items, including tunable sources and a broadband UV-NIR illuminator. Among the new products highlighted are blackbodies, 1600-W solar simulators, and the Apex line of monochromators and fiber illuminators. A section is devoted to new tools for spectroscopy.
