Dalsa Corp. announced it has received orders worth CDN $1.7 million (about $1.4 million) for electronic cameras and related components from a supplier to the flat panel display industry for use in manufacturing. The equipment is expected to be delivered throughout 2005. . . . The International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) is accepting submissions for its Programmable Devices and Embedded Systems (PDeS) workshop, to be held March 14-16, 2006, in Brno, Czech Republic. Authors are invited to submit papers and posters on the following topics: industrial programmable controllers, industrial PCs and PLCs; field programmable logic and high-end design means; embedded systems; microprocessors and microcontrollers; signal processing; reliability and safety of elements, circuits and systems; and wireless communication for embedded systems.
