Melles Griot has released “Catalog X,” the 10th volume in its series of photonic product and technology guides. Titled “The Practical Application of Light,” the 1148-page publication presents more than 25,000 parts. Among 1100 new items are redesigned optomechanical hardware, lead- and arsenic-free optics, power and energy meters, and a range of laser beam and spectral measurement instrumentation, including spectrometers, spectrum analyzers and spectrophotometers. New technology sections detail theoretical and practical information on lasers, vibration-isolation systems, beam and spectral measurement, and optomechanical components. Other technical segments have been revised and updated.
