IPG Photonics Sells System to US Navy
IPG Photonics Corp. of Oxford, Mass., will supply a 10-kW continuous-wave ytterbium fiber laser system under a commercial procurement contract awarded by the US Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Ind. The water-cooled YLR-10000, with a central emission wavelength of 1070 nm, delivers output through a 20-m flexible fiber. IPG sells the systems for materials processing applications.
