Intopii Oy of Oulu, Finland, has agreed to work with Cognex Corp. to develop analysis and classification tools for the Natick, Mass., company’s SmartView surface-inspection system. The addition of Intopii’s surface texture analysis methods to SmartView is expected to expand the reach of the system into new applications. Cognex provides surface inspection for paper, metals, plastics and nonwoven materials.
