Embedded communications software supplier GAO Research Inc. has released an online demonstration of its G.729AB voice coder. The real-time example allows customers to sample the fidelity of the company’s G.729AB speech processing algorithm under simulated network conditions. They can supply their own WAV file and adjust simulation parameters, such as network jitter and packet loss. The off-the-shelf voice coder is optimized for platforms that support Microsoft’s WinCE and WinCE.Net, such as ARM9, and Intel’s Xscale and Pentium processors. It has application in visual telephony, wireless communications and digital satellite communications systems.
