Livermore, Calif.-based Alloptic Inc., a developer of Gigabit Ethernet passive optical networks (GEPONs), announced today the addition of Shane Eleniak as the company's vice president of marketing and business development. Prior to joining Alloptic, Eleniak was senior vice president of business development for Corente, a security and application management company. Before that, Eleniak worked for Corrigent Systems and has also held several management positions in marketing, strategy, business development and engineering at Centerpoint Broadband Technologies, Newbridge Networks and Telus Corp.
