Supercomputing Center to Focus on Nanotechnology

TROY, N.Y., May 11, 2006 — Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in collaboration with IBM and New York state, yesterday announced a $100 million partnership to create what it said will be the world’s most powerful university-based supercomputing center, and a top 10 supercomputing center of any kind in the world.
