Kenneth Bean was recently named director of manufacturing operations at Aculight Corp., a Bothell, Wash., developer of laser technologies. Bean was formerly president of BBP Inc., a startup venture specializing in head-up display systems which he founded. Previously, he held positions as vice president of manufacturing for the optical equipment maker Terabeam Inc., senior vice president of operations for P-Com Inc., and at TRW, Eaton Corp., Gamma Microwave, Avantek Computer Ltd. (a division of Hewlett Packard) and Memorex's consumer products division. He is a member of the American Electronics Association and has given numerous lectures on ISO 9000 implementation.
