Asylum Research Expands Operations in the UK

Asylum Research of Santa Barbara, Calif., a manufacturer of atomic force microscopes (AFMs) and other advanced scientific instrumentation, has formed Asylum Research UK Ltd., a company that will distribute and support its AFM products in the UK and Ireland. The new company is located in the Oxford Centre for Innovation in Oxford, England, which houses other science and high-technology businesses. Shelley Wilkins, most recently business development manager for Windsor Scientific, has been appointed managing director for the UK company. Wilkins has been published in numerous international science journals for her AFM work.
