Diodes Inc. Buying APD Semiconductor for $8M

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Oct. 24, 2006 -- Discrete and analog semiconductor maker Diodes Inc. announced today that it will buy privately held fabless discrete semiconductor company APD Semiconductor for approximately $8 million. Under the agreement, Diodes will pay APD $8 million for patents, technology, trademarks and net working capital. The deal also includes a potential earnout provision. APD has its headquarters in Redwood City, Calif., with a design center in Seattle and a sales, application and administration center in Taipei, Taiwan.
