Spectrum Detector Launched

Don Dooley, founder of Scientific Spectrum Inc. and Molectron Detector Inc., has formed Spectrum Detector Inc. in Lake Oswego, Ore. The new company will design and manufacture high-performance radiometric detectors and instruments that cover the electromagnetic spectrum from 0.1 to 1000 μm.

Dooley will be joined by Mark Stout, former senior product manager at Molectron, who will be a partial owner and manufacturing manager. The men are currently designing instruments including silicon, germanium and thin-film thermopile sensors.

nano
