Agilent Acquires Product Line from GE

Agilent Technologies Inc. has acquired the chemiluminescence product line of GE Analytical Instruments, a division of GE Water & Process Technologies based in Boulder, Colo. The Santa Clara, Calif., company will offer the products as add-ons to its gas chromatographs. The acquired technology encompasses the Sievers 355 sulfur and Sievers 255 nitrogen chemiluminescence detectors, which will be integrated into the company’s life sciences and chemical analysis business and targeted to the energy and petrochemical industries. The acquisition includes intellectual property, sales, marketing and manufacturing assets. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
