Lawrence D. McRae, senior vice president, strategy and corporate development at Corning Inc., has become a member of its management committee. McRae, who has been with Corning since 1985 in a variety of positions and business divisions, is a member of the board of Dow Corning Corp. and is Corning's lead director for two other key equity ventures: Samsung Corning and Samsung Corning Precision. The management committee, which sets and deploys the strategic direction of the company, is led by CEO Wendell P. Weeks. Other members include James B. Flaws, vice chairman and chief financial officer; Peter F. Volanakis, chief operating officer; Kirk Gregg, executive vice president and chief administrative officer; Joseph A. Miller Jr., executive vice president and chief technology officer; and Pamela C. Schneider, senior vice president and operations chief of staff.
