Indium Corp. Adds to Marketing Staff

Electronics assembly and semiconductor packaging materials supplier Indium Corp. announced that Seth Homer has been promoted to product support specialist for engineered materials. Homer joined Indium in 1991 and most recently served as a manufacturing supervisor. The company also announced that Rui Zhang has been hired as product specialist for Indium’s solder paste products. Homer and Zhang will work out of the company's headquarters in Clinton, N.Y.

indium: Metal used in components of the crystalline semiconductor alloys indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs), indium gallium arsenide phosphide (InGaAsP), and the binary semiconductor indium phosphide (InP). The first two are lattice-matched to InP as the light-emitting medium for lasers or light-emitting diodes in the 1.06- to 1.7-µm range, and the last are used as a substrate and cladding layer.
