Deposition Sciences Inc. now offers thin-film coatings that operate in the 3- to 5-μm and in the 8- to 12-μm IR spectral regions. They are designed to be durable for military, aerospace and industrial environments. The coatings are available as beamsplitters, dichroics and bandpass filters, and anti- and high-reflection coatings are optional. The coatings can be applied to various substrates, including sapphire, silicon, germanium, zinc sulfide and selenide, assorted metals and ceramics, as well as most glass types compatible with the IR spectrum.
