Thales Appoints 2 VPs

Thales Communications Inc. of Clarksburg, Md., a provider of communication capabilities for tactical, security and defense markets, has appointed Walt Hepker as vice president of business development and Glen Parker as vice president of program management. Hepker, who has been vice president of program management since 2006, succeeds Diane Reineke, who is heading a new Thales effort to increase its C4ISR (command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) offerings. Hepker joined Thales early last year. He was program manager, JTRS HMS (handheld, manpack and small-form factor) and was involved in other key programs. Previously, he held business development and program management positions, principally in military airborne and ground tactical communications markets, at Rockwell Collins.
