StockerYale Subsidiary Is Awarded Contract
Photonic Products Ltd. of Hatfield Broad Oak, UK, a subsidiary of StockerYale Inc. of Salem, N.H., has been awarded a contract to supply a manufacturer of point-of-sale systems with more than 100,000 laser assemblies for a next-generation bioptic bar-code scanner system. Photonic Products began developing the high-specification custom laser assemblies for the system in 2006 and is now accelerating its production. Employing multiaxis machining technology, the company can produce complex components in a single operation, enabling rapid turnaround from prototype to production.
