  • Photonic Cleaning Adds Distributors in Israel and Japan
Oct 2007
Photonic Cleaning Technologies Inc. of Platteville, Wisc., now has distributors in Israel and Japan. Lahat Technologies Ltd., with offices in Tel Aviv and Misgav, Israel, is the most recent addition to its authorized distributors, and Hikari Inc., based in Tokyo, is the company's first Japanese representative for its First Contact polymer solutions, for removing dust, fingerprints, residues and other contamination from delicate, sensitive and precision surfaces such as coated optics, crystals, gratings, phase masks and sensors, among other materials.

coated optics
Optical elements that have been coated with one or more layers of dielectric, or metallic material. These coatings serve to reduce or increase reflection from the surface, and to protect the surfaces from fumes or abrasion. Magnesium fluoride, silicon dioxide, and zinc sulphide are a few of the most commonly used coating materials.
The technology of generating and harnessing light and other forms of radiant energy whose quantum unit is the photon. The science includes light emission, transmission, deflection, amplification and detection by optical components and instruments, lasers and other light sources, fiber optics, electro-optical instrumentation, related hardware and electronics, and sophisticated systems. The range of applications of photonics extends from energy generation to detection to communications and...
