Iridex CEO Resigns
Iridex Corp. of Mountain View, Calif., announced today that Barry Caldwell resigned as its president and CEO and as a member of its board effective Oct. 16 and that the board has appointed Theodore A. Boutacoff, currently a member and chairman of the board, to replace him. Before Caldwell's two- year tenure, Boutacoff was president and CEO since he co-founded the company in 1989. "Barry has worked hard during his tenure at Iridex," Boutacoff said, "We wish him the best of success in his future endeavors." Iridex makes therapeutic laser systems, disposable laser probes and delivery devices to treat eye diseases in ophthalmology and skin disorders in aesthetics markets.
