WILSONVILLE, Ore., April 9, 2008 -- Flir Systems Inc. announced it has acquired Ifara Tecnologias SL, a provider of software used to create sensor networks, for approximately $11 million. Based in Madrid, Spain, Ifara develops software and hardware used to create and maintain sensor networks for applications such as security and surveillance, force protection, reconnaissance, and maritime. Ifara's Nexus computer software allows integrated control of a variety of different sensors, including thermal and CCTV cameras, fence and ground sensors, alarm contacts, UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and radar.
