Transmission Project to Begin in California

The Optical Internetworking Forum in Fremont, Calif., has outlined the details for its 100-Gb long-distance dense wavelength division multiplexing transmission project. Dual-polarization quadrature phase-shift keying (DP-QPSK) was selected as a modulation technique for integrated photonic components. The plan will specify an implementation agreement for integrated receive-and-transmit photonic components for DP-QPSK.Read full article
