Hamamatsu Begins Work on New Building

Hamamatsu Photonics KK of Hamamatsu, Japan, announced that it will begin construction of a new building at the main site of its electron tube division in Toyooka. The building is aimed at strengthening the division's R&D in the areas of scintillator plates and light sources, and it will also enable the division to boost its annual production of these products. Once completed, the new building will have approximately four times the total floor space of the original facility. Construction is scheduled to be completed in January 2010.
