Andor Technology plc has announced that it is entering into the solar research and production in-line cell inspection market with its iKon-M 934 BR-DD and Luca R cameras. The former, a megapixel CCD camera, offers responsivity in the NIR region and delivers about 70% quantum efficiency at 900 nm. It is thermoelectrically cooled to –100 °C. The latter, an electron-multiplying CCD camera, provides single-photon sensitivity and quantum efficiency of 27% at 900 nm and is air-cooled. Both have a USB 2.0 interface.
