GE Healthcare of Waukesha, Wis., has received FDA approval for its mobile Senographe Essential, a mammography product that will improve access to breast cancer screening. Built on the company’s Senographe Essential platform, the unit features a digital detector with a 24 × 31-cm active area. The system was designed to increase patient comfort, and the fast signal readout, to decrease exam time.
