AnaSpec.jpgAnaSpec Inc. has introduced the SensoLyte 520 TACE Assay Kit for fluorescence detection at long wavelengths. Designed to monitor the activity of tumor necrosis factor alpha converting enzyme, a major player in acute and chronic inflammation and its inhibitors, the kit may be used to reduce the severity of inflammatory responses in disease states. Featuring high fluorescence quantum yield and long emission wavelengths, the kit shows less autofluorescence interference from test compounds and cellular components. It uses a FRET peptide substrate pair composed of 5-carboxyfluorescein and QXL 520. After the quenching and cleaving process, the recovered 5-carboxyfluorescein can be monitored continuously at 490-nm excitation/520-nm emission. The kit comes in a 96-well format.
