Monogram Biosciences Inc. of South San Francisco, Calif., has licensed a large share of its microfluidics patent portfolio to Caliper Life Sciences Inc. of Hopkinton, Mass. The licensed intellectual property originates from Aclara BioSciences Inc. of Mountain View, Calif., which merged with Monogram in 2004. Monogram will retain the right to exploit the property for use with its eTag protein drug target and signaling pathway assays.
