Infinite Optics has hired Stan King as global sales manager. King, who recently returned to the US after spending four years in Europe managing electron-beam gun sales for Ferrotec UK in London, brings to his new position 25 years of experience with lasers, optical fabrication and thin-film coatings for optical manufacturing and optoelectronic devices. He began his career as an applications engineer at Spectra Physics Industrial Laser Div. in San Jose, Calif., and was later hired at Laser Power Optics in San Diego to sell optics, coatings and assemblies to the industrial, medical and military markets. King, who was eventually promoted to national sales manager at Laser Power, has also worked in sales for Leybold Optics, Axsys Technologies and Exotic Electro Optics. Santa Ana, Calif.-based Infinite Optics makes high-quality thin films and optics for the aerospace, commercial and industrial, defense and security, imaging, laser optics, medical, and microlithography markets.
