SphereOptics of Concord, N.H., has selected Sarah Technology Co. Ltd. of Gyeonggi-do, Korea, as a product reseller in South Korea. The latter company will market and sell its partner’s complete line of products, including integrating spheres; lamp, LED and laser power measurement systems; and luminance/radiance standards.


GLOSSARY
luminance
Luminous flux emitted from a surface per unit solid angle per unit of area, projected onto a plane normal to the direction of propagation. Also known as brightness and luminous sterance.
power
With respect to a lens, the reciprocal of its focal length. The term power, as applied to a telescope or microscope, often is used as an abbreviation for magnifying power.
radiance
Radiant power per unit source area per unit solid angle. Usually it is expressed in watts/m2/steradian.
