Industry Mourns Laser Pioneer

BELLINGHAM, Wash., Feb. 19, 2010 – Daniel J. Bradley, physicist and laser pioneer, died Feb. 7, 2010, in Sandymount, Dublin, Ireland. Bradley held chairs at Queen's University in Belfast from 1966-1973, Imperial College London from 1973-1980, and Trinity College Dublin from 1980-1984. He was a leader in the development of ultrafast pulsed lasers until his retirement in 1984.
