Sample and assay technologies provider Qiagen NV of Venlo, the Netherlands, has purchased ESE of Stockach, Germany, an ultraviolet and fluorescence sensor technology company, for $19 million in cash. ESE’s development and manufacturing site will be expanded as Qiagen’s Center of Excellence in Detection Development, and its technology portfolio will strengthen the latter’s detection technologies.Read full article
