Omni-Focus Camera Sees Near and Far

TORONTO, May 10, 2010 — Researchers at the University of Toronto have announced a breakthrough in video camera design dubbed the Omni-focus video camera. Based on an entirely new distance-mapping principle, the device delivers automatic real-time focus of both near- and far-field images, simultaneously, in high resolution.
