Global Sources' China Sourcing Fairs are growing from strength to strength! The company has come a long way since the first China Sourcing Fair was held in Hong Kong. In fact, I was involved in Spring and Fall editions of the show in Hong Kong back in 2006, where I also happened to judge the best new electronic products at the show. Now, in just a couple of days, specifically, June 8-10, 2010, the China Sourcing Fair, Electronics, will be moving to the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Later this year, the China Sourcing Fair will be moving closer to home on September 8-10, 2010, when the Electronics & Components show will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India. The Dubai show is largely focusing on electronics, and does not have a substantial number of components suppliers, especially in areas such as laser diodes, LEDs, etc. So, I did a bit of scouting around to see what's on offer that will be of interest to buyers of optoelectronics. Here's some of what I've managed to uncover! One supplier from mainland China, Ningbo Sunwing Photoelectricity Technology Co. Ltd., proposes to exhibit E14 LED bulbs, LED downlights, LED street lights, etc. Another supplier, also from mainland China – Ninghai AoXiang Electric Plastic Co. Ltd. – has listed products such as LED flashlights and LED lamps for the exhibition. Shenzhen Yihexin Lighting Technology Co. Ltd. will be showcasing flexible LED strips, LED downlights, LED lamps and rigid LED strips, while Shinkando International Co. Ltd. will be spreading out an array of flexible LED strips, LED bulbs, LED spotlight bulbs, LED tubes, and MR16 LED bulbs. Shenzhen City Huahai Chengxin Electronic Display Technology, also from the mainland, will be exhibiting LED displays and power connectors. And, Shenzhen Getian Opto-Electronics Co. Ltd. will be exhibiting high-power LEDs, LED globe bulbs, and LED light fixtures. Given that a lot of solar initiatives are taking place in the UAE, there is the presence of a few solar component suppliers as well. One such player happens to be Shenzhen Heyueda Electronic Co. Ltd., which will be exhibiting portable solar chargers, portable solar power systems and solar lanterns. Again, some of you may consider both LEDs and solar to be too low-end in terms of product development. However, do bear in mind that these two are the thriving sectors of today, especially in Asia.
