Holzkirchen, Germany-based Carpevigo AG, an independent project developer and operator of solar power plants, has announced the operation of Osterhofen-II. With a capacity of 1.71-MW peak, the recently completed facility joins Osterhofen-I, which was put into operation at the beginning of the year and features a 1.33-MW peak capacity. Together, the plants fulfill the power needs of 915 typical four-person households and spare the environment a carbon emission of approximately 2900 tons per year. The project was funded partly by Sparkasse Passau, and Solea AG was in charge of the construction.
