Howard Hughes Medical Institute of Chevy Chase, Md., has awarded California Institute of Technology of Pasadena $1.5 million to aid its undergraduate science education programs. The four-year grant will be used to build connections between biology and other science disciplines by increasing the number of lab courses and improving outreach programs.
