Corning to Acquire Plaslab

CORNING, N.Y., Aug. 16, 2010 — Corning Inc. will acquire plastic-labware maker Plaslab SAS of France, the specialty glass maker announced Friday. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed. Plaslab is a French simplified joint stock company and the holding company of Plastiques Gosselin SAS, a maker of plastic consumable labware in Europe. Borre, France-based Plastiques Gosselin will be integrated into its Life Sciences segment, Corning said.
