Foss Acquires Majority Stake in Ibsen

HILLERØD, Denmark, Aug. 23, 2010 — Foss A/S has become the main shareholder in Ibsen Photonics A/S through the purchase of an additional 73 percent of shares from existing shareholders, the companies announced today. Foss now owns about 85 percent of Ibsen, and the investment reflects a growing partnership over the past few years between the two companies. Privately owned Ibsen is based in Farum and makes holographic, fused silica transmission gratings and spectrometer modules for telecom, analytical, sensing and laser applications.
