SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 14, 2011 — Ultrafast fiber laser manufacturer Calmar Laser Inc. has opened its new corporate headquarters down the road from its previous location in Sunnyvale.

Offering twice the floor space, the new facility will enable the company to further expand in its anticipated growth and production ramp in 2011.

“We are beginning to see the benefits of our strategic initiatives that we launched over two years ago,” said Dr. Tony Lin, president and CEO of Calmar Laser. “A shift in market focus and innovative technology developments have positioned us well for continued growth in 2011.”

The company will continue to manufacture its Cazadero, Coronado, Eureka and Mendocino product families at the new facility. With a strong focus on biomedical, imaging, metrology and materials processing applications, the products offer its customers compact, hands-off, all-fiber architecture that ensures ease of integration for OEM and industrial customers.
