Energetiq Appoints Distributor for UK, Ireland

WOBURN, Mass., Jan. 19, 2011 — Energetiq Technology Inc., an ultrahigh-brightness light source manufacturer, announced the appointment of Elliot Scientific Ltd. as its distributor in the UK and Ireland for its range of laser-driven light source (LDLS) products.

Elliot Scientific is a supplier of optomechanical, laser, cryogenic, magnetic, telecom and datacom components and systems for the scientific, research and industrial fields.

“We’re excited to be able to offer Energetiq’s revolutionary Laser-Driven Light Sources to our customers,” said David Welsh, managing director at Elliot Scientific. “With the unique LDLS characteristics of higher brightness, very broad band, and ultra-long life, we believe we can give our advanced imaging and spectroscopy customers performance levels an order of magnitude better than which they’ve been accustomed.”

Energetiq’s laser-driven technology in the LDLS products is electrodeless in operation and is suitable for analytical applications that require ultralong lamp life. Researchers and engineers who need highly reliable, high brightness UV light can use a single broadband source to give them an alternative to purchasing and operating multiple lamps or lasers.
