CHELMSFORD, England, Jan. 26, 2011 — e2v and TowerJazz announced that e2v has increased the rate of production of its dental x-ray sensors that incorporate TowerJazz’s 0.18-µm CMOS image sensor (CIS) technology. The two companies will work together to create a new generation of system-on-chip (SoC) dental sensors that benefit from high image quality and advanced levels of integration and embedded capabilities, the companies said. Replacing conventional x-ray film, dental intra-oral x-ray sensors provide dentists with an instant digital image on a screen rather than on film that needs to be developed. ...Read full article
